Duties of the Student Regent

The student regent is a voting member of the Board of Regents, the governing body of the University of Washington. The Board of Regents has both power over and responsibility for the University, and must act in its best interests on behalf of the State of Washington. The student regent brings a student perspective to those decisions, but has the same responsibility to act in the best interests of the entire University.
